Hi Stephen,Nice tee shirt and beard(ish)! Have a great time where ever you are going!Enjoy every moment! Love,Dad
This was adorable. However, you didn't mention your beard!!!I say, grow it out over spring break...what do you have to lose???SEE YOU LATER!!!
Hi Stephen,Mom and I went to the Rue Mouffetard market in Paris at the Metro Censier Daubenton (we think this is the stop). Check at your hotel/hostel what the hours and days open. It is in the 5 Arroundissement. The market is amazing! Great cheese, wine and pastry! Of course if you go to the Mouffetard market there is a vendor that sells chicken and potato's that are roasted on a rotisserie and the fat falls onto the potato's as they roast!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness, if only being fat was in vogue! Great pastry and bread and cheese and did I mention the roasting chicken and potato's? He, He, He!There is a park about a block away that we sat and had a bottle of wine, cheese, a chicken and some fresh bread. Paris is a great city!Remember the Bata Boat is the way to travel. Paris is a city to "breathe Deeply" and experience everything you can! Did I mention that there is this amazing market called the Rue Mouffet...........Enjoy every moment!Love,Dad
Stephen,I was so excited to tell you about our time in Paris that I didn't write who we were with; we were led by Rosalind and Tom in Paris and had the best time being led through the city by Rosalind. She was our experienced tour guide and we never would have seen everything that we did without her and well maybe Tom had something to do with the great time as well! Whats neat is that in the future you can be the person that shows your friends or family around Paris! Have fun and if you are as lucky as mom and I to have friends like Rosalind and Tom to share life's adventures with you will always remember your travels with a smile!Love you!Dad
Stephen,Love the VLog!! Of course as your mom I think you look great with or without the beard!! Have a great time over the spring break!! Some go to Florida...you go to Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam!!Live IS good!Safe travels,Love,Mom
Hi Stephen,I am glad your Dad remembered that Rosalind and I were with he and your Mum on that WONDERFUL trip to Paris. In fact, had your Mum, Rosalind and I not been with him, he would still be roaming the the streets of Paris trying to find his way home, but I assume you already knew that.Rosalind and I LOVED the VLOG 2, and laughed VERY hard at your description of the encounter with the guy in the hallway. Really wish you had video of that. Rosalind and I are in Old Quebec City for a few days, and what a wonderful city it is. When you return to the states, and you get a little "home sick" for Europe, you only need to take a trip up here to cure it,and it is only four hours from Pearl Lake! You and your friends will LOVE it!!Enjoy spring break in Paris!Au revoirLove Rosalind & Tom
Hi Stephen,Can't wait for your next update! Here is the Pizza dough recipe I said would be coming.1 3/4 lbs white bread flour1 1/2 cups fine ground semolina flour 1 TBLS fine sea salt1/4 oz envelope active dried yeast (one pack)1 Tbls golden caster sugar (white will do)just over 2 cups lukewarm waterAdd yeast and sugar to the water, stir and let yeast bloom (about 5 minutes)Put all flour (bread and semolina) salt in a mound on a clean dry area. Make a well in the middle of it and spread the pile out to about so the yeast mixture will fit in the well you have made. Next add the yeast mixture and with a fork slowly pull some of the flour mixture into the water/yeast mixture (work the fork around the inside of the well). Each time around the well you pull a little more flour in. Do this until the flour and water mixture are combined. Knead the dough for 10 minutes and then put it in a bowl, cover it and let rise for about 15 to 30 minutes. Remove from bowl after the rise is done and cut into about 6 balls of dough for pizza. Roll out into thin disks and add toppings.Bake in pre heated oven ( 500F degrees so I am guessing around 250C don't know the conversion!)Bake pizza about 7 to 8 minutes. Remember to flour your work surface when you roll the dough out.The dough can be frozen and used at a later date if you don't finish it when it is made.Hope you and your friends enjoy the Pizza! A good red wine makes the pizza even taste even better!Enjoy every moment!Love,Dad
