Anyways, I don't have anything to write about so I'm just going to post some of my favorite Dr. Suess quotes, why...because they are awesome and if he was still alive he would be 107 today, which is old. And aren't you all so lucky...not only will you get to read these awesome quotes, but you can also read some awesome commentary by me! Stephen Pelletier! Yay!
Anyways, read these...they will make your day better.

I can't tell whether he is being sarcastic or not, but I like to think I'm a relatively pleasant person. Except for when I don't get my chocolate fix. Although, I'm happy that every time I walk into Rosebery now they get really excited because I'm going to repulsively buy things (usually chocolaty or peary) I don't (necessarily) need. “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
Today I did some reading for Shakespeare. It made me hungry, so I went and ate some cookies, then went and ate two bananas, then a sandwich, then some salad, then the rest of the cookies. See where reading took me today?
“Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”
So, I'm living in London today, and tomorrow I'm going to be living in London still, and then this weekend I'm going to Cardiff, then my family is coming, then I'm still living in London and then I'm backpacking Europe. Wow, Dr. Suess, you are right! “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.”
I like nonsense too. For example, back when I was in Scotland I was sitting in the Lounge and this guy walks in, walks over to the fish tank and said, "OH! FISHY FISHY FISHY! FISHY, FISHY, OH FAT FISHY!" and then turned around and walked out the door. I love life sometimes. Also, while on a train going to Bruges I saw a guy walking around in the train station wearing a chicken suit. Loved it! “Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the things you can think up if only you try!”
Just make sure that when you are in London you think right first, otherwise you might get hit by a car. Then go for the other stuff. “If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good”
If he is talking about making Green Eggs and Ham I'm out, if he is talking about going to Castle Tuesday every Tuesday, I'm in. "And when they played they really played. And when they worked they really worked."
The best advice I ever got in cooking was from my dad, while he was making meatballs a couple of days before I left. He said, "Always add more." I think this applies to life too. Don't just live. Go out and really live, because when else are we going to get to do this whole crazy thing? Keep adding more, do more, feel more, relax more, appreciate more, laugh more, love more...whatever it is, do it more (except mean things...don't do those more). By the way, those meatballs came out amazing.

Good Morning Stephen, it is Waggers.
ReplyDeleteI must make this brief as I do not have a lot of time. My uncle Tom and I have devised a plan for me to come to London as Mom and Dad forgot to book a ticket for me to come over and visit with the family. Uncle Tom will drop me off at the airport today, and I will walk in as if I am one of the Customs Dogs, reporting for work to sniff baggage looking for people trying to sneak food into the USA. Once in the luggage hold area I will sniff around for the worst smelling bag and I will know that is our Dad's. I will remove everything and replace his clothes, and other junk with ME. Once in London I will get a cab to take me to your apartment. I will have to make a run for it once out of the cab because I will not have any English money to pay the fare. I will meet you Sunday night at 18:00 (have a nice time in Wales, I love Wales they are wonderful fish) at the corner of Crawford-Passage and Ferrington Road in Clerkwell as I will be too short to ring the door bell. As I will not be severed dinner in the luggage hold of the airplane I will require you have ready for me, 2 pork pies, one portion of steak and kidney pie, 3 cornish pasties, and a helping of bangers and mash, and bring along something for you as well.
I am realling looking forward to seeing you as it has been 14 months (dog years) since I have last seen you. I am looking forward to going to the Pub with you and Christian on Tuesday.
OK, I have to get fitted for my US customs uniform that Uncle Tom is making for me. I am looking forward to seeing you in London on Sunday!

ReplyDeleteI hope you're enjoying your time in Europe. In my opinion, having adventures and making memories will serve you well as you navigate the crazy world we live in. However, it would be nice if you could avoid being captured by Somalian pirates. Aunt Karen and Taggle say hi. Tell Waggers to give Taggle a call if he needs to be bailed out should the plan go awry. Enjoy your time with mom, bro and my "special" friend. Keep the spirit of Dr. Suess alive. We get to be pretty boring people when we can't find the fun in Dr.Suess (or maybe a comic book). Love you man!

ReplyDeleteI am sorry to say the plan has failed and I will not be able to meet you on Sunday. Uncle Tom and I had executed the plan perfectly, until I ran into one problem. He dropped me off at the airport and I walked by security in my "US Customs Dog/food finding "Uniform (XXXL size) without being questioned. Uncle Tom suggested to avoid being detected I should work the customs floor for a bit sniffing bags to try and catch people smuggling food into the US. During my break I could then go into the baggage area, find Dad's bag and be on my way. SO, I began sniffing bags and caught and OLD Polish woman sneaking a suit case of Polish Kielbasa into the country. What Uncle Tom failed to mention is that I was NOT suppose to eat all the Polish sausage in the suit case once I caught the person. The supervisor caught me eating the illegal sausage and I was fired and escorted out of the building.
So I am now up at Pearl Lake with my friends Mallory and Chocorua. I guess I will have to wait to see you until you come home in June. Have fun with Mom and Dad and Brother Christian. I will see if Aunty Rosalind and Uncle Tom can send some pictures of my "Spring Break" at Pearl Lake.

ReplyDeleteJust because your Father is there disrupting your life doesn't mean you can forget your faithful Blog followers here in the good Olde USA! There are things we need to know. How was Wales/Cardiff, today is National Pancake day in the UK, did your Dad have the ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKE SPECIAL at the Winston Churchill Diner near Westminster Abbey?? These are things we are waiting to find out.
Hope all is going well. Waggers had a GREAT weekend with her friends at Pearl Lake. We/she will send along some pictures and a video or two later on.
